Preparation Checklist
Chapter focus: A complete study path.

A strong IELTS plan has five stages: understand the test, build language foundations, practise question types, complete timed tests, and review errors. Do not jump directly to full tests if the task format is still confusing.
বাংলা সহায়তা: পরীক্ষার নাম বা band মুখস্থ করলেই প্রস্তুতি সম্পূর্ণ হয় না। নিজের বর্তমান অবস্থান মাপুন, দুর্বল জায়গা চিহ্নিত করুন, এবং ছোট ছোট নিয়মিত কাজ করুন।

What you need to know
Prepare identification and test-day materials according to your centre instructions. Prepare study materials such as official sample tests, a notebook, a timer, headphones, and a quiet speaking-recording space. Your plan should include Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking, vocabulary, grammar, and weekly review.
Step-by-step plan
- Confirm your test purpose, version, and date.
- Take a realistic baseline task.
- Record evidence instead of guessing your level.
- Practise one skill with a clear time limit.
- Review errors and repeat the same skill later.
Practical method
Use a weekly cycle: learn one skill, practise it untimed, practise it timed, review mistakes, and retest. Keep one rest period so study remains sustainable.
Guided practice
Create a seven-day plan with one measurable task for each day and one full review day.
Self-check
- Can I explain the main idea of this page to another learner?
- What evidence shows my current strength?
- What single action will I complete this week?
- What mistake will I check before my next test?
